If you were the dog, how would you want to be trained? Yes, is e collar training fast and effective? Sure, but not in all cases, and in fact, it can make aggression worse. But, are there better ways in training, other than using "static" correction (nice way of saying shock)? I believe so. Why not clicker training? Instead of using correction all the time, positive reinforcement on proper behaviors, makes the dog feel happy doing those behaviors, hence the dog repeats those behaviors. Behaviors that are improper usually result in the dog getting a "time out" or what they want being removed, such as you walking away if they jump on you. This method has been proven very effective and has resulted in no physical discomfort to the dog.
